Black Tile in the Shower? How to KILL it!

We've all been there, singing at the top of our lungs in the shower only to look down and your stunning tile has black lines in the corners! Eeeew! You've been cleaning regularly, but still there it is, like your grandmother shaking her finger at you that you have not been cleaning. Well, everyone gets a bit of mold in the shower from time to time. The environment is too perfect for the mold to grow, but this how I get rid of that black stuff.

When you finish showering, open your door or open the shower curtain to allow the shower to dry. Also, if you have a ceiling fan in the bath, which I highly recommend, leave it on during the day to encourage the shower to dry. Mold hates dryness and light.

How to get rid of mold

Really it can't be more simple. Bleach, good old-fashioned bleach. Saturate any area with mold at the first sign with bleach. Be careful to protect your clothes, etc. Then, don't wash off the bleach but allow it to dry and sit for a few hours. When you get ready to take your shower just rinse the area well.
