Our amazing friend Beverly Childs is dog shower extraordinaire and executive director of our county museum. These are two recipes she shared with me to make treats for your fur babies. She shows prize winning PBGV hounds.
Sardine Yummies
3 raw eggs
1 can sardines packed in olive oil
1 sleeve graham crackers
Dump it all into a blender and blend until completely combined. Pour mixture onto a cookie sheet and spread out. Bake at 350 for approximately 20 minutes or until it looks rubbery and light brown on top. Let cool then cut into little pieces. Beverly keeps hers in the refrigerator.
Tuna Treats
2 - 6 Oz cans tuna in water drained
1 1/2 cups flour
1 Tablespoon minced garlic
2 eggs
Beat eggs. Add Tuna and garlic. Add flour as needed to make a brownie like consistency. Put in a greased 9x9 pan and bake at 300 degrees for 30 min. Shut off oven and leave for an additional 15 min. Cool and cut in small pieces.
